Hello world travelers! In this blog post, I will be sharing my itinerary for my trip to Spain for your reference. Spain is a wonderful country to visit with plenty of art, historical sights, nature, nightlife, delicious food, and a beautiful culture. If you are considering cities in Spain such as Barcelona, Ibiza, or Seville, then this post may help you decide how many days you want at each location. Of course, alter the information to fit your needs and wants, but I do not have any regrets on the amount of time I spent at each place
โ Fly to Europe
I do want to mention that I visited Paris, France before going to Spain. If Paris is on your bucket list as well, I would recommend considering to combine the destinations into one trip. For travel information on Paris, check out my Paris Travel Guide. Personally, I planned on visiting Paris already, but international flights to Paris can be reasonably priced when compared to other airports. I flew in to the CDG airport. My trip with Paris and Spain was 17 days long. After flying to Paris, I spent 3 nights and 4 days in Paris.
๐ Bus to Barcelona
To get from Paris to Barcelona, I took an overnight bus. FlixBus is a great company with coach double-decker buses that transport people and luggage at a reasonable price. The bus was about 11 hours long and only costed about $40 USD. Of course, you won’t sleep as well as you would in a comfy bed, but the seats are fairly comfortable. As a budget traveler, this kind of travel adds to the adventure! I would book with FlixBus again in the future.
๐บ Barcelona, Spain
After arriving in Barcelona, I spent 3 nights and 3 days in the city. I thought 3 days was a good amount of time here. One of the days, I drove outside of the city to the mountains for a hot air balloon ride. Most people just think of the busy city and most common historical sights, but this wild experience was my favorite part of my time in Barcelona! For information on my hot air balloon tour and for recommendations on what to do in Barcelona, check out Top 10 Barcelona Trip Highlights.
โ Fly to Ibiza
Next, I flew from Barcelona to Ibiza. There are other transportation options such as long ferry rides to the island, but I heard that the rides can be very choppy and uncomfortable, so I opted out of that.
๐บ Ibiza, Spain
I spent 4 nights and 4 days in Ibiza. On my trip, I was able to split my stay between two accommodations (one local resort and then on a sailboat), and the amount of time was perfect! If you’re interested in hearing about my accommodations or my opinion on the island, check out my blog – Ibiza Travel Tips.
โ Fly to Malaga & ๐ Bus to Seville
As you probably know, I choose to travel on a budget, so to get to Seville, I flew from Ibiza to Malaga and then took a bus from the airport to Seville for cost reasons. All of the travel went smoothly, and the bus was a nice way to see a bit of Malaga as well.
๐บ Seville, Spain
For 3 nights and 4 days, I explored Seville. Seville is a beautiful city where you can authentically immerse yourself into the culture. If Seville is on your radar, find more information from my post – Seville: What To Expect.
โ Fly Home
Lastly, I flew from Seville to Paris and then Paris to the United States, since I had a roundtrip ticket between the United States and Paris.
