West Palm Beach, Florida is a beautiful, coastal town located south of Jupiter and north of Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. This waterfront destination has lively entertainment, stunning shopping districts, and local events to explore. Keep reading to find some recommendations for your time spent in West Palm Beach.
Attend the West Palm Beach farmers market

West Palm Beach has a wonderful local farmers market called the Green Market. It takes place on Saturdays from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Recently, their farmers market was running from October through April. The farmers market hosts over one hundred vendors and goes on for several blocks. The farmers market is located right along the water as well, so it is the perfect spot to meet up with a friend for coffee or a fresh baked good and chat on a bench near the water. The address for the market is 101 S Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
If a Saturday at the farmers market is not your ideal weekend activity or you’re visiting during the off-season, check out what other local events are taking place.
Worth Avenue

Worth Avenue is a high-end shopping district with European architecture, fancy boutiques, and restaurants for fine dining. It is the perfect stop for a nice walk on a sunny day.
You can walk to the end of the street and enjoy the water views a couple blocks away as well. At the end of the street is the Worth Avenue Clock Tower that has become a tourist attraction.

Find some entertainment
There are plenty of activities to keep your family busy in this vibrant coastal town. For example, you could head to Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society, Norton Museum of Art, Rapids Waterpark, Manatee Lagoon, Mounts Botanical Garden, or catch a baseball game at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches. Also, Phil Foster Park is a great destination for underwater snorkeling, fishing, and exploring. Additionally, you can find special, local events or shows such as concerts and plays.
Go hiking in West Palm Beach
West Palm Beach has plenty of beautiful nature viewing spots and hiking trails to enjoy. Grassy Waters Preserve, Apoxee Trail, and Winding Waters Natural Area are a few recommendations for my fellow hikers. You can be sure to see some wildlife on your relaxing hikes.
Beach days

And last but certainly not least… There are several gorgeous beaches to enjoy. No Florida visit is complete without a couple beach days. Some popular beaches to visit include Palm Beach, Municipal Beach, and Riviera Beach. You can lay out and tan, go kayaking, or continue your nature walks at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park as well.
Conclusion
I have only visited West Palm Beach once, but it was an inviting and vibrant town that has a lot to offer. I think it is a great destination for a Florida family vacation.
