Best Pastries in Jacksonville, Florida

If you’re located in Jacksonville and a slow morning indulging in delicious pastries sounds enticing, keep reading. Trying new pastry shops and coffee shops is a hobby of mine. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, I have slowly been finding some of my favorite spots to get the best pastries. Here are my recommendations!

Parlor Doughnuts

Parlor Doughnuts in Jacksonville

Parlor Doughnuts is home to my all-time favorite doughnuts. Their pastries are a blend of a doughnut and a flaky croissant. The pastries are very addicting, and their options are endless! They have plenty of sweet and savory options to choose from. My favorite is their strawberry shortcake doughnut. One of their top sellers is their french toast doughnut. Other sweet doughnut options they have include: cookies ‘n cream, peanut butter cup, blueberry, and lemon to name a few. If you prefer savory options, they recently added margherita, pepperoni, and buffalo chicken pastries but have other breakfast meals such as breakfast tacos. Parlor Doughnuts also offers keto and gluten free options! Definitely a place not to miss during your time in Jacksonville!

1748 Bakehouse

1748 Bakehouse is a quaint local bakery and coffee shop that is 100% worth the visit! This is the perfect place for a date with friends or significant other! The pastries are top tier! During our visit, we ordered a raspberry cream cheese pastry and a pear and pecan pastry. Their menu is not limited to pastries and coffee alone though. They have a breakfast and lunch menu with sandwiches, salads, and sides to consider. The bakery has a cute store inside with natural products, aesthetic home decor items, and ingredients for cooking and baking as well. Additionally, the 1748 Bakehouse is walking distance to the historic district of Jacksonville, so pair your bakery date with a lovely morning walk to explore the neighborhoods boasting with huge colorful houses with giant porches.

TOUS les JOURS

TOUS les JOURS is a French Asian Bakery with countless fancy pastry options. A location in Jacksonville opened in Lotte Plaza Market, an Asian market. The line can get pretty long here if you visit on a Saturday or Sunday morning, so keep that in mind. It is difficult to choose what to get here and to have self-control, because everything looks delicious! Although this spot is located in a market, the pastries had to make the list! I recommend making the hard decision of what to purchase, boxing up your goodies, and bringing them to a beach or park picnic!

Madame Brioche

Madame Brioche bakes delicious pieces of art! Their pastries are fancy, stunning, and definitely tasty. I wish I had a picture to include, but check out their Instagram page to see their incredible marketing. Their croissants are packed full of custard and fresh fruit. They have fresh croissants, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and cakes in their display case. Madame Brioche also offers other meal options for breakfast and lunch as well such as avocado toast, soups, and salads. Madame Brioche is certainly an Instagram-worthy spot!

Conclusion

My list of local bakeries to try will certainly be growing as I continue exploring and trying new spots. If your favorite bakery in Jacksonville is not listed, type it in the comments box so I can give it a try!
